MULTI PURPOSE MOBILE POD
CTWDC 2014

A modified shipping container clad with a variety of sustainable materials ranging from Hemp
stalks, harvested alien timber, sugar gum to recycled timber pallet sections.

Possible uses:

• Info Kiosk
• Travelling Gallery (in 6m or 12m lengths) showcasing Cape Town design talent, could be easily re-located from city centre to disadvantaged areas & back again on back of flatbed truck.
• Food & beverage, Coffee & deli, Bar/craft beer, Juice bar & raw/superfoods/smoothies, Sushi.
• All lighting (LED) and computers to run off grid from PV panels on roof, Internal cladding & ceiling to be veneer faced Hemp particle board.
• PODS to be donated after CTWDC 2014 for re-use as Classes
• Internet hubs/cafes
• Clinic spaces
• Libraries
• Spaza shops
